The Invertec STT II - Surface Tension Transfer® power source,
represents a new generation of waveform controlled power sources. It
is the industry’s only independent current controlled wire feeding process.
Independent current control allows you to control heat input independent
of wire feed rate, providing higher production rates on troublesome
thin gauge components. STT technology allows welds to be made virtually
spatter free, reducing dependency on higher priced gas blends to control
spatter. Low spatter welds, through a range of wire feed speeds, can
be made with 100% CO2 coverage. The low heat input welding and lack
of spatter, makes robotic STT II a popular alternative to many manual
TIG processes such as mild steel, stainless and high alloy.
STT-10 Controller: The STT-10 Controller is designed to work
with the STT-II power source. The STT-10 Controller with robotic interface
provides fast and reliable signal communication from robot controller
to power source. Wire feed speed, peak and background amperage is
controlled by analog signal, gas preflow/postflow, arc start, inching
and other popular functions are a function of I/O signals.
